The chairs we have in stock are usually new chairs, although sometimes we are lucky enough to find some fine good old chairs.
The new chairs are built from beech, this being a better wood for chairs than pine due to beech being a much harder wood than pine, and therefore stands up to the knocks that chairs unfortunately tend to receive.
Benches and settles are rapidly becoming popular for every room in the house and the dual purpose of seating and storage mean that they are ideal in halls, porches, bedrooms and especially at the family table.
